Be My Curator – Photography Exhibition

Be my curator for the next photography exhibition…

What do you like to see at a photography exhibition?

La Paz, Bolivia, South America, photography exhibition

The Indonesian travel articles need a rest for a little while so trying something new as would like to start organising another photography exhibition in the future.

My last photography exhibition – Image Earth Faces, hosted by the beautiful Erika from Piano B – Event Project Management – was pre-COVID in 2018. The stunning medieval Palazzo Sersale in the village of Cerisano, Calabria in Southern Italy, is a superb venue for any function but especially for an exhibition.

I need your help to decide on a new portfolio for my future exhibition. Not sure when this will be but there is so much to organise and decisions to make…

Choose a theme

  • Street?
  • Portrait?
  • Landscape?
  • Candid?
  • Urban exploration?
  • Abstract and Conceptual
  • Street art?
  • Travel?
  • Castles?
  • Country or continent?
  • Social issues?

Choose a Medium

  • Black & White?
  • Colour?
  • Frames? Frameless glass?
  • Canvas?
  • Acrylic?
  • Foamboard?

Choose more

  • Number of photos?
  • Size of photos to exhibit?
  • Orientation (landscape or portrait)?

The next two photos for you to choose from as still not decided on just B&W photos, colour, or both. If you missed the first photos in the last two week’s posts, check these links:

So, please choose one of these photos to include in my exhibition and let me know why. What do you like/dislike about these photos?

La Paz, Bolivia, South America

La Paz, Bolivia – Photo 2

Check out more of my work on Nilla’s Photography or Image Earth Travel and help me decide.

Be my curator and help me decide! I always have a mental block when choosing photos for an exhibition or for my travel articles.

Appreciate your help!

  1. Photo 1 is superb. I was wondering about a particular theme. Why don’t you do one of each theme? Your portraits are great, but you could add several themes. Portrait? Landscape? Both. You have such a variety of interests, use your wide scope at your advantage. Print size? The bigger the better. (And more expensive!)

    1. Hey Brian…
Thank you for the great feedback! My first solo exhibition in Brisbane was of everything and surprisingly (to me) I did sell quite a bit.
Photo one is of a lady selling a few pens in the streets of La Paz. I saw her face and wanted to capture it…
Totally agree, the bigger the better – much more impact when you go big.
      THanks again 🙂

    2. I am. Finally. And very glad. Now I will have to get all your posts in a “weekly digest”, i.e one mail with all of your last week’s posts. It used to be easy, now they’ve probably screwed it up. 🤣

    3. Ha, ha, ha, that is funny! What did you do to fix it up?
I only post every Sunday at 7am (AEST), which would make it your Saturday evening.
I’ve had several complaints and wonder how many more followers are not receiving my weekly email. 😦

    4. Don’t remember how I did it. The digest thing is for bloggers who post frequently, which sort of clogs my mail. So WP puts them all in sequence the following MOnday and I can read them at leisure. Since you only post once no need to. But I do get your mail now. Try to contact the “happiness engineers…

    5. Hey Brian…I did contact the happiness engineers and they said there was something wrong with your account but now it’s fixed. The reason why I asked the question. Other followers are having the same issue but the happiness engineers tell me their logs display that emails have been sent. It’s this continual battle, which I don’t need.
No idea what’s going on there…

    6. At least my account is fixed but that’s just one. I can very well understand your not wanting to fight another computer battle… I’m over here with computers (though I took my first computer class in 1972, nearly 50 years ago… so I know my way around, but it’s become time-consuming…) I suggest you tell your followers to “re-follow you”. Probably the easiest way. Cheers “Mate”. 😉

    7. Thanks for the tips!
I think WP is fast becoming like FaceBook. Don’t be surprised if we’re charged for exposure in the future.
It’s tedious asking followers to re-follow and teally, we shouldn’t have to…🙄
      Cheers for your help!

    8. Hopefully not. (haven’t set foot on FB in months.) As long as people like you share their experiences and visions of the world (Pictures are visions are they not?) we’ll fine…
      Ciao, ciao.
