Curator: Photography Exhibition

Would you like to be my curator for the next photography exhibition?

What do you prefer to see in a photography exhibition?

Phu Quoc, Vietnam, Inle Lake, Myanmar, Burma, SE Asia, photography exhibition

The Indonesian travel articles need a rest for a little while so trying something new as would like to start organising another photography exhibition in the future.

My last photography exhibition – Image Earth Faces, hosted by the beautiful Erika from Piano B – Event Project Management – was pre-COVID in 2018. The stunning medieval Palazzo Sersale in the village of Cerisano, Calabria in Southern Italy, is a superb venue for any function but especially for an exhibition.

I need your help to decide on a new portfolio for my future exhibition. Not sure when this will be, but there is so much to organise and loads of decisions to make…

Choose a theme

  • Street?
  • Portrait?
  • Landscape?
  • Candid?
  • Urban exploration?
  • Abstract and Conceptual
  • Street art?
  • Travel?
  • Castles?
  • Country or continent?
  • Social issues?

Choose a Medium

  • Black & White?
  • Colour?
  • Frames? Frameless glass?
  • Canvas?
  • Acrylic?
  • Foamboard?

Choose more

  • Number of photos?
  • Size of photos to exhibit?
  • Orientation (landscape or portrait)?

The next two photos for you to choose from as still not decided on B&W photos, colour, or both. If you missed the first photos in the last three week’s posts, check these links:

Help me choose one of these photos to include in my exhibition and let me know the reason for your choice. What do you like/dislike about these photos?

Inle Lake, Myanmar, Burma, SE Asia, photography exhibition
Inle Lake, Myanmar (Burma) – Photo 1
Phu Quoc, Vietnam, SE Asia, photography exhibition
Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam – Photo 2

Check out more of my work on Nilla’s Photography or Image Earth Travel and help me decide.

Be my curator and help me decide! I always have a mental block when choosing photos for an exhibition or for my travel articles.

Appreciate your help!

Nilla 🙂

A tremendous task to chose from these amazing photos🙂 You have a special gift to capture amazing moments, so much ‘to read’ on these looks..
Hope the new year found you well! Have a wonderful 2022!

      Hi Christie
Thank you for your wonderful feedback about my work – makes me happy to know that you like what you see…
Candid photography for me is a passion and while some argue that it’s voyeuristic, for me it’s the faces that tell untold stories. 😉
New Year’s Eve was spent with good friends and hope there will be many more to come as it was a lot of fun.
Did you celebrate or a quiet one?

No.. I do not agree that Candid photography is voyeuristic.. there is so much to read on one’s face, and eyes, the way they hold the hands, or the timeless look.. etc
Glad you celebrated New Year Eve with friends!
We’ve had our daughter home for Holidays, and spent them quietly with family (if you don’t count the cheers and the dent in the ceiling from the champaign cork LOL). New restrictions were already in place for indoor gatherings to max 10 ppl, and ugh, as of tomorrow even less, max 5 ppl inside.. again…
        Have a lovely week ahead🙂
        xx

Neither do I but people have said that to me in the past. Imagine if we didn’t have some of the old greats taking photos? We wouldn’t have documented history.
Sounds like you had a lovely time regardless of wrecking the ceiling and Omicron! Here in Australia, our government has let its guard down and now cases are rising much too fast for our health system.
I’m back to work this week so not so lovely. 😉
        Cheers
        Nilla x

Both great. I probably would go with the Vietnamese lady because I like the sea in the background.

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, the background makes her face stand out even more.

Difficult to chose between these two. Possibly the second one, but I’m not sure why 🙂 Maggie

      Hi Maggie
Thank you for the feedback! You see why I have such a hard time now… 😉
