Photography Exhibition: You choose!

You choose between the next two photos for my photography exhibition.

Portraiture or candid photography? Why?

Photography exhibition, B&W, Zakopane, Poland, Europe, Don Khong Island, Laos, SE Asia

My Indonesian travel articles need a rest, so I have been asking you over the past few weeks to choose between photos to help organise my next photography exhibition, whenever that may be…

It has been too long between exhibitions as my last photography exhibition – Image Earth Faces, hosted by the beautiful Erika from Piano B – Event Project Management – was pre-COVID, in 2018. The stunning medieval Palazzo Sersale in the village of Cerisano, Calabria in Southern Italy, is a superb venue for any function but especially for an exhibition.

I find it extremely difficult to select a new portfolio for an exhibition and there is always so much to organise and loads of decisions to make – some of which are these…

Choose a theme

  • Street?
  • Portrait?
  • Landscape?
  • Candid?
  • Urban exploration?
  • Abstract and Conceptual
  • Street art?
  • Travel?
  • Castles?
  • Country or continent?
  • Social issues?

Choose a Medium

  • Black & White?
  • Colour?
  • Frames? Frameless glass?
  • Canvas?
  • Acrylic?
  • Foamboard?

Choose more

  • Number of photos?
  • Size of photos to exhibit?
  • Orientation (landscape or portrait)?

These are the next two photos for you to choose from as still have not decided on B&W photos, colour, or both. If you missed the previous photos from which to choose, check these links:

Please help me choose one of the following photos to include in the exhibition and let me know why you decided on the photo. Is there anything you like/dislike about these photos?

Don Khong, Mekong River, Laos, SE Asia, Zakopane, Tatras Mountains, Poland, Europe
Don Khong Island, Mekong, Laos – Photo 1
Zakopane, Poland, Europe
Zakopane, Tatras Mountains, Poland – Photo 2

Be my curator – check out more of my work on Nilla’s Photography or Image Earth Travel and help me decide.

Appreciate any help!

Nilla 🙂

The first. That person (I think it’s a she) looks like a meticulously-carved wood sculpture.

Thank you for your selection and feedback! Yes, it’s a ‘she’ and such an amazing face. I noticed her in her hut whilst I was on the back of a scooter zooming by so got my partner to stop and turn back.
I waited at a distance until she was in this position and took the shot. I don’t think she saw well so didn’t see me at all.
Check out this post as there’s another picture of this local working in her hut.
Wishing you a wonderful festive season and stay safe! 🙂

I think the first one portrays a more interesting character xx

I lived in SE Asia for 6 years from age 8-14 and went back many times. I just love it and the peoples.

Ah, that explains it then and know what you mean. SE Asia keeps drawing me back also time and time again. 🙂

    I’ll always go with Asia!
