Have you heard of Glastonbury Festival – the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world?
This incredible festival draws around 180,000 festival-goers during its five days and 200,000 people on the last day. Postponed for the last several years due to COVID-19, finally, this five-day massive soiree of contemporary arts, electrifying fun, all-night endless partying, no sleep, and frivolity is back on!
The dates? From the 22nd to the 26th of June 2022 and I’m missing out this year!
As I can’t be there in 2022, I’m reliving the crazy and wonderful memories of the Glastonbury (Glasto) Festival with you, so, tell me which photo you like best?
Glasto is where anything goes and everything does go! The mantra is: what goes on at Glastonbury, stays at Glastonbury.
Where in England is Glastonbury Festival?

Although the name is Glastonbury Festival, the festival isn’t in the town of Glastonbury. Instead, the festival is held at Worthy Farm near the village of Pilton, which is around 5 miles from Glastonbury.
Fun facts from the 2019 festival

Hi Gill
You need to go to Glasto at least once in your lifetime – it’s like no other festival. 😉
I’m still having trouble accessing your site. I’ve tried loads of things but that message I emailed you about displays and I can’t access your posts.
Hope all is well with you.
Cheers

I just read Pau MacCartney will play at the next festival. But I didn’t see when. We are going to London week after next. Look forward to it.

I confess I never realized what the festival had grown into. My friend Grant went once and had a wet but wonderful time. As a person who gets nervous in crowds, it would be my worst nightmare!

It’s absolutely massive and so much fun! I love going and sorely missed this year but the planets weren’t aligned.
Hi Carolyn
I was going to take 5.5 weeks’ leave and travel to Sweden, the UK (for Glastonbury but also to catch up with friends), then onto Italy to housesit for friends for 5 days. Lots of internal flights and only one of us had to get COVID for it all to fall over and get stuck somewhere. Not a problem when you’re not working. 😉
Next time…
Thanks for reading my post and leaving me a comment, as always.
Cheers
