Love your new design. (I seem to have seen this picture before?)

Thank you! I’ve just added a Site Map page to the footer, see what you think. 😉
Yes, it’s the sculpture in Manhattan, not sure if you saw it when you visitied New York?

      1. equinoxio21 Avatar

Didn’t see it in NY. Hopping to your site map.

      2. Image Earth Travel Avatar

        Next time. Thank you!

      3. equinoxio21 Avatar

I hadn’t seen it. It’s very good. You must have devoted a lot of time to your new design. 👍🏻

The cube sculpture is on Wall Street and quite large but from the outside, isn’t that interesting. Me being me, I had to look inside, and glad I did!
Yes, it took a few weeks. Had to iron out WP issues and upgrading the plan also caused its own issues so I lost over a week. I’m still tweaking mobile device issues. I wanted a minimalist design, easy to navigate, and hopefully captures attention as you really only have 1 to 3 seconds to engage online. Sad isn’t it? But, that hasn’t changed in years.
Happy that you approve as I value your feedback and experience. 😉

Now I remember you mentioned Wall st. Didn’t go this time. We were on the upper west side. Oh well. Can’t do everything can one?
        Honoured.

      6. Image Earth Travel Avatar

No, one can’t, which is the problem when staying for short stints.
I much prefer long-term travelling but even then, it’s not possible to see everything. You need to really live in the place to experience most of what the destination has to offer.

      7. equinoxio21 Avatar

True. You’re doing the right thing. (I was lucky to live in many countries before I reached 30.)

      8. Image Earth Travel Avatar

You have to do it while you can and have your health. You are lucky to have lived in so many countries by 30.
How are things on your end, OK? Next venture?

      9. equinoxio21 Avatar

All well here. Next venture? Don’t know. It seems to me, off hand, that there really are very few countries I still want to discover or go to. I wouldn’t mind spending some time in Tuscany. I need to sit down with my wife to discuss the plans. And options. Accomodations has become a major issue. Very expensive and often not up to what is “advertised”. We´ll see.
Meanwhile, where are you now? Not too close to Armenia I hope?

      10. Image Earth Travel Avatar

I fully understand what you mean – accommodation can be hit-and-miss.

The hospitality and kindness here in Kosovo have been humbling. The accommodation isn’t expensive and has been excellent so far. Arrived in Prizren yesterday and just extended the 4 nights to 6 as there’s a bit to see here but the self-contained apartment is excellent. Today, we had a knock on the door and one of the owner’s relatives came with a plate of Albanian olives, cheese, and bread. Then another knock on the door this evening and a different family member came with a plate each of homemade dessert: panna cotta and lovely cake. So kind. But, at this rate, I’ll gain too much weight!

      11. equinoxio21 Avatar

How kind indeed… I don’t think weight will be an issue, you most certainly walk miles every day…

      12. Image Earth Travel Avatar

Yes, very kind locals but not just the owners of apartments, it’s even locals on the street that ask if you need help when stopped somewhere. Then, they’re interested in where you’re from – everyone thinks we’re America. When I mention Australia, they smile and motion “Oh, a very long way away!” and then start about Kangaroos.
Kosovo is a great country to travel in, maybe your next destination? 😉
Trying to stick to 10,000 or more steps a day but eating chocolate and loads of carbs every day isn’t helping.

      13. equinoxio21 Avatar

Kangaroos is the obvious image that springs to mind. Anywhere. At least they know it’s far… 😉
Chocolate is unavoidable. Don’t feel guilty. 🍫

      14. Image Earth Travel Avatar

        Yeah, they’re synonymous with Australia.
Ha, ha, when we get through a block a day plus other treats, then it’s the accumulative sugar that’s not great. But then I look at the remaining Rolling Stones, their ages, and the life they’ve led… 😉

      15. equinoxio21 Avatar

Haha. I saw the Stones in concert a dozen years ago. We all came out of the concert saying “I don’t know what they’re taking but I want it!” 😉

      16. Image Earth Travel Avatar

That would have been a great concert! Mick Jagger has so much energy on stage – it’s incredible. I hear he bought a place in Sicily and is seen around there a bit. 😉
        I want some too! 😉

      17. equinoxio21 Avatar

That bloke is really something. Probably puts stuff up his nose too, but… it’s worked for him.
I just read that he believes his -many- children don’t need the 500 Mil $ of his song rights. He plans to set up a foundation… Not a bad idea.

      18. Image Earth Travel Avatar

I could take that further but I won’t and yes, it’s worked for all of the Stones.
That’s admirable and hope that he does set up a foundation. I hadn’t read that before. I’m amazed at how they’re still performing, it’s gruelling for younger musicians, let alone their ages.

      19. equinoxio21 Avatar

Just read that in a French magazine. Hope he does do it.
There are a lot a rather old musicians still performing. I guess it’s probably some sort of a drug for them.
I remember seeing Elton John in concert. Or Michael jackson. Packed stadiums. They must feel like gods when they enter the stage.
So younger musicians… Are there any? 😉

      20. Image Earth Travel Avatar

I think it must be a thrill for them and they probably do feel like Gods to still be able to perform at that age but also draw such crowds into a venue.
        Hmmm…let me think…

No clue but the buildings look European?

    1. Image Earth Travel Avatar

Not this time Carolyn. It’s a metal sculpture in Manhattan, NY. I looked inside the sculpture and this is what I saw – no post-production. 😉

  4. Liesbet @ Roaming About Avatar

Looking good! The new site and the photo!

    1. Image Earth Travel Avatar

Thank you Liesebet for the great feedback! I’m still tweaking the site, but sure I’ll be doing this for a little while yet.
I hope to have the Miyajima, Japan post published next week. Not sure whether to go back to Sunday or Tuesday publishing. 😉
