This was a guest post but I’ve been to 4 of the 5 destinations.
I visited gorgeous Bali for a few days back in 1998 while travelling from Java to Lombok. I’m sure the island has changed a lot.
Please check my posts on the almost 4 months in Indonesia.

Thank you for your kind feedback.
Have you travelled to any of these destinations?

  3. equinoxio21 Avatar

Yep. I think your like issue is fixed. 🤞🏻

I hope so and yes, fingers crossed!

  4. equinoxio21 Avatar

This one works too. Hopping to comments.

Excellent and thanks for being a great tester!

        Most welcome my dear.

Hi Nilla. Sorry to say: likes don’t load. neither on the post nor on the comments. This is so weird.

    1. Image Earth Travel Avatar

What a bummer! I’m still trying to work this out. 🙁
I thought it may have been when someone is logged into WP then the likes button loads, but that’s not the case either as it’s random.
Thanks for the follow-up and letting me know – you’re a great tester!

      1. equinoxio21 Avatar

Don’t mention it. It is very weird. Keep pressing with the “happiness engineers”. It may take a while but one day someone finds a solution. Happened to me with them…

      2. Image Earth Travel Avatar

Well, now that I’ve upgraded, the chat support never seems to be available – it’s frustrating and I’m not impressed so far.
Ha, ha, I’ll probably be back in Australia by then!
Oh, and your comment went into my trash folder again – annoying.

      3. equinoxio21 Avatar

What do you mean? You upgrade and don’t have chat support ‘ny more? 🙄

      4. Image Earth Travel Avatar

Pretty much although I’m supposed to have 24/7 support now, whereas on Premium it was 24/5 support.
Someone posted a gripe on the WordPress forum complaining he can never get onto chat support and WP responded that this means the Happiness Engineeers are busy with other people. Also, WP advised not to send multiple emails as this clogs up their support and takes longer. Well, as I couldn’t get onto chat support, I emailed (once) and it took just over one month to get a response – not great.

      5. equinoxio21 Avatar

A month? Not great indeed. Problem is WP runs about half the world’s websites… No big noise like GAFA, but quite an achievement. So I guess they don’t hire enough people… Tsss.

      6. Image Earth Travel Avatar

A month and a couple of days.
The WP support is good when you can get onto chat support, but as I mentioned, this seems to be sporadic these days.

I adore Asia, which I think you know! I lived in Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia (Penang). Iwas in boarding school in Dalat and when things got too dangerous there I was moved to a boarding school in Kep. Horrible school, fantastic setting. I remember Kep in the mid 50’s with such affection. We stayed at an old colonial hotel. Can still picture the view out over the sea as we had breakfast on the veranda. Long walk through the forest on the hill. We disturbed a toucan and it kept flying ahead then off again. I remember the sound of the jungle. We got leeches which we could have done without, but experience, you know. Fabulous crab and shrimp. I could go on and on. I went to India several times and loved it but I wish I could have seen more. Never enough time/funds. Sri Lanka in 1983 (?) was very inexpensive and fabulous. I loved seeing the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy. I could happily have lived up there in the hills. I must browse through your site at length and relive it all!

You’ve had such a colourful upbringing, Carolyn, and I love reading about all your escapades.
There never is enough time and funds, unless, of course, you’re born rich.

I’ve been working on this site to make it more accessible and faster for my readers. Hope you notice a difference in speed. However, my Nilla’s Photography site is loading (if at all correctly) at a woeful speed and I’m having problems with my Host throttling my site’s speed. 🙁

Hi, this post is a guest post by Karan Arora, so I can’t take credit for this work at all.
Hope all is going OK with you.
Weird, I had to fish your comment out of my WordPress Spam folder.

Hi Nilla. I’ve been away and not posting, maybe I’ll do some tomorrow.
I was diagnosed with Fuchs Dystrophy in my eyes, I underwent surgery on my right eye and it gradually returned.
I’m okay with the cancer, thankfully.
Well, there are comments that go straight to spam. WP stuff.
        Happy to talk to you.🌷

Hi Fernando, sorry to hear about your health issues but glad to hear that your eyesight is returning.
Yes and this comment went into my Trash folder. I have no idea what’s going on with WP.
Great to see you back online. 🙂
